some random thoughts
lately the TIME magazine published an article on whether the Bible should be taught in US high schools, presented neutrally, so that people know the basis of a lot of Western culture's ideals. I'm kind of divided between thinking it's good that people would be more exposed to the Bible, and thinking it's bad that people would be taught more on the 'what happened in the Bible' level than the 'God is amazing and scary and loves you crazily much' level. I guess any level of awareness of the Bible is a good thing, but I can't help feeling that teaching it as 'just another book' short-changes it. any thoughts?
I've also realized that God, to me, is more of a head thing than a heart thing. I know facts and concepts, but somehow it doesn't carry to... well, seeing as how I haven't got it, I don't know to where it's supposed to be carrying (ha ha.). it sometimes feels like a dream, or something; I'm there and I'm experiencing it, but it's not penetrating. but I know that the very fact that I'm aware of this means that God is moving and He's changing me... I just wish that it'd go faster, I guess.
so I have 8.30am class every day this semester, and looking back, and I don't think that I've been on time for a single one of them. and now that the year is almost over, I have learned a lesson: NEVER have 8.30 classes, ever again.

Growing from the inside out

Notice the blue border surrounding the growth that came from the ink of a blue pen. The conditions must have been damp as the water crawled outwardly from the source. Flip the pages a bit more and black circular growth spots began appearing. Around this time, the spread of babyT was at it's max covering almost half a page. The source probably originated from here.

As the geological records go further back, yellow spots begin appearing in the foundation of the paper stack. When you flip pages that were on top of each other over, you can notice the perfect symmetry, a result of it's vertical growth. If you put the pages side by side, they almost look identical sans the scribbled notes they were wearing.

As the archaeological dig continued, babyT slowly diminished. You can see that the stack was quite big, consisting of several hundred layers. babyT read not only notes and homework, but magazines, sticky notes and anything else with words and numbers. At this point, I knew I shouldn't keep my pet babyT around any longer, after all colourful animals are dangerous - their coat usually a sign of poison, so I taped him up with plastic bags and shoved him under the sink.

The reason I did not destroy babyT is because I don't know what type of bacteria he is and would like to know (so if anyone does know, tell me!) Second of all, how could I destroy such good evidence, after being too lazy to record the growth of my own experiment, I was now being presented with a large amount of information on the growth of babyT. One had area of growth information that was carefully dated by my notes. The many pages could be examined individually as well as in a series, much like an MRI scan of the brain. Bacteria normally grows two dimensionally in a bacterial plate, but here I had a 3-d representation of the growth; amazing!
So my conclusion is, sometime around November, something must have dropped onto the right side of the stack of paper and began growing downwards. As fresh nutrition was piled on top, it slowly made its way up too. I hope babyT enjoys his new home under the sink surrounded by plastic bags - it must be a drastic change from the sunlight and gorgeous view of the windowsill. I wish him the best. - Tim-thebabyT-nourishing-bagwell-1styear

Thursday Enoch Time
What's up guys, I hope you're all doing well. I would just like to let you guys know that I have no class on thursday, so I think it'll be a good time to open up an opportunity to chill with you guys. I have nothing planned for this time, and I mean NOTHING...so if you wanna come to talk, pray, eat, even study, I'm just letting you know that I'll be available and I'd love to spend that time with you guys. There's no time limit, so stay for as long, or as a little as you like. Come say hi if you want :)I'll be at the UCC cafeteria from 1:30pm-7:00pm, if for whatever reason I'm not, give eldon a call at 519-902-2757 and I'll come find you. If for some reason, you're not cool with the UCC, I can see you wherever.I've been wasting my wednesday nights knowing that I have nothing to do on thursday, so it'll be beneficial for me to be at school as well. Hope to see you guys soon and God bless you.

Sleep
I've been going to bed earlier and waking up earlier recently, trying to put some structure into my schedule. I believe most students are night owls, staying up to the wee hours for whatever reason.
Here's are the good things about being an early bird
1. Quality alone time, pray, read, prepare yourself for the day
2. More hours of sunlight
3. You get a head start on everyone else, when others have been up for 5 hours, you've already got 3 hours more than time
I'm not trying to change anyone's habits, but I this post was inspired by my nocturnal roommate. This morning when my alarm clock went off, as I was getting ready to brush my teeth, my roommate crawled into his bed to sleep.

a random something~
14Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones 15to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him." 16These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.
17But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. 18They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires." 19These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
20But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. 21Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
22Be merciful to those who doubt; 23snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.
24To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
I'll leave the little mystery of where in the Bible this passage is~ It's fun if you put effort into finding stuff.
I just find it interesting that characters, even the seemingly one dimentional ones are special and actually people. Sometimes i forget that they aren't just fictional people.
Jesus came to heal and save, he will come to judge and destroy. How urgent? That's something you need to find out~ when will you die and when is the end~
Meditate on the closing lines~ This is our God~
